Kibingo Coffee Washing Station was established in 1986 in the Kayanza District of Kayanza Province, an area known as the source of the Nile River. The wet mill is located at an altitude of 1,893 meters above sea level.
Approximately 3,500 coffee farmers from 18 nearby communities deliver their harvests to Kibingo. Since 2015, the station has consistently placed in the Cup of Excellence (COE), even earning 1st place in 2017. Thanks to its high elevation and optimal climate, Kibingo is renowned worldwide for its vibrant flavors and stable quality.
In the cup, it offers a rich, balanced acidity reminiscent of apples, followed by a smooth, elegant sweetness like roasted chestnuts drizzled with honey. A calm, lingering finish evokes the gentle warmth of autumn.
