This Kenya Reura Natural comes from Reura Factory in Kiambu and represents a fresh 2025/2026 crop with the same farm details and natural processing style as the lot previously featured by SÖT, though this release is not the Taste of Harvest winning lot itself. Reura is rooted in red volcanic soil and a cool high-altitude environment, conditions that help shape the vivid acidity and structured fruit character often associated with Kenyan coffee. In Kenya, where most celebrated lots are washed, naturals remain relatively rare, especially at a high quality level. That already makes a carefully prepared Reura natural an unusual and compelling offering.

This lot is also processed as a natural. The cherries are carefully selected and slowly dried on raised beds, allowing fruit sweetness and aromatic intensity to build while preserving the brightness and clarity that give Kenyan coffee its identity. Producing a clean and refined natural in Kenya takes especially careful sorting and drying management, since the style can easily become heavy or muddled if handled poorly. Here, the goal is clearly not just impact, but balance: to let the natural process add expressive fruit while keeping the cup lifted and well defined.

In the cup, passion fruit leads with a tropical, energetic fruit character. Blood orange follows with a sweet citrus depth that gives the profile both brightness and richness. Elderflower lingers in the finish, adding a delicate floral note that keeps the cup elegant and fragrant. Roasted this time as a medium light roast, the coffee should show a little more roundness and sweetness while still preserving the vibrant structure and aromatic clarity that make this kind of Kenyan natural so memorable
